Our Education Ministry

Our vision for the Foundation of E.A.G.L.E.S. Education Ministry is to educate out-of-school elementary and middle school-age students with the goal of enabling their enrollment into formal public or private schools.

Our students face unique challenges: they are unable to enroll in formal primary schools (Grades 1-6) due to age restrictions, and they do not qualify for secondary school programs (Grades 7-12) because they haven’t met the necessary grade-level academic requirements.

These students have never received any form of formal or informal education. Our mission is to change that narrative and provide them with the opportunity for a transformative First Day of School. 

Our mission for the School Readiness Education Program is to prepare and equip each student by teaching the fundamental courses of mathematics, writing, and reading. This comprehensive approach aims to bridge the academic gap and ensure that students meet the necessary grade-level requirements for enrollment.

The School Readiness program spans approximately 36 weeks, running from September to May. During this time, our students will not only focus on core academic subjects but also engage in a Bible Class. In this class, they will have the opportunity to share the Gospel and learn about the profound Love of God, as well as the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Together, we strive to empower these young learners, nurturing both their minds and spirits.

Our Education Ministry currently serves students in the Dominican Republic. Despite public education being compulsory for students ages 6-14, enrollment is not strictly enforced due to resource limitations and inadequate registration documentation for many children. Unfortunately, dropout rates are significant, especially since secondary school attendance is not mandatory after the age of 14. Many students leave the school system to work paid jobs, aiming to increase household income.
